Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe and opposition leader Morgan
Tsvangirai met for a third day of power-sharing talks on Tuesday.
A
grim-faced Tsvangirai left the meeting after four hours, however,
telling reporters only that South Africa's President Thabo Mbeke
would issue a statement. MDC's Secretary-General Tendai Biti later
said, however, that the meetings would resume on Wednesday and
there were no issues that could not be overcome. The negotiations
between the ruling ZANU-PF and opposition Movement for Democratic
Change aim to end Zimbabwe's post-election crisis and deal with the
country's economic catastrophe.
