Topolanek (Civic Democrats, ODS) today said Vesecka enjoys his full trust.
Statistical figures in the report on the Supreme State Attorney's Office for 2007 have shown improvement in many aspects, Justice Minister Jiri Pospisil (ODS) said.
The length of preparations for court proceedings shortened from 74 days in 2005 to 58 days in 2007.
A state attorney needs 10 days on average to prepare the charges, compared with two weeks three years ago.
Moreover, 93 percent of vacancies at state attorney's offices have been filled, Pospisil said, referring to the report.
Topolanek stood by Vesecka who was criticised for her steps in the case of Deputy PM Jiri Cunek, chairman of the junior government Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL).
The opposition Social Democrats (CSSD) say they are convinced that high judiciary representatives headed by Vesecka interfered in Cunek's case in an unauthorised way and they called on Pospisil to dismiss her.
Cunek resigned from the government last November when his case of suspected bribery was reopened at Vesecka's initiative.
It was, however, definitively halted a fortnight later and Cunek returned to the centre-right government in April.
