Русская версияAt the Olympics in Beijing, Germany has won two gold medals, a
silver and two bronze during the second-last day of the Games.
The
German hockey team claimed the second gold of the day after
defeating Spain in the finals, 1-0. Earlier on Saturday, Sabine
Spitz secured a gold winning the women's mountain bike racing. In
the water, the men's double Kayak team took the silver in the
500-metre race, and Katrin Wagner-Augustin picked up a bronze in
the women's single event over the same distance. The men's double
canoe team also took a bronze medal in the 500-metre race.
Meanwhile, the United States has claimed both the men's and women's
titles for athletics' 4x400 metre relay. Argentina has won the gold
medal in soccer, defeating Nigeria 1-0.
